Sealcoating protects your asphalt from UV rays, rain, snow, auto fluids, and other that cause premature deterioration. It extends the life of your asphalt, improves its appearance, and helps prevent costly repairs by slowing the formation of cracks and surface damage.
We recommend that you wait 48-72 hours to drive on your newly sealcoated asphalt. The longer you are off of it, the longer the sealcoat has to cure uninterrupted. Humid or shaded conditions may require additional drying time.
Sealcoating typically lasts 2-4 years. High-traffic parking lots or areas exposed to harsh weather may benefit from more frequent maintenance. It is recommended to keep up with your asphalt maintenance on a regular schedule to prolong the lifespan of your driveway or parking lot.
No. Sealcoating is preventative maintenance not restoration. Sealcoating is a protective coating, not a repair product. Premier Pavement uses hot rubberized crack filler in all qualifying cracks. Alligator cracking, small surface cracks, and potholes will still be visible after sealcoating. For best results those areas should be repaved prior to sealcoating.
